CridManager 2.0 - Intentions

We have two main intentions with CridManager 2.0. The first intention is to learn. We have a huge list of actual techniques in software design and software development we want to adopt. Have a look at the project status pages, where we list most of them.

The second, and not less important intention is to have a great tool for managing the Siemens M7x0 box. This is an unsorted, incomplete collection of main features we wanna implement. Please look for and add new ideas on the discussion page.

• All that CridManager 1.4.* does
• Integration of VDR recordings
• better management of the Siemens/Lemmi-FW
• management of the VDR
• EPG display (at least the box epg) and programming of recordings
• full, comfortable playlist integration (audio, video and images)
• support for all kinds of boxes (M740AV, M750S, spanish M74x/75x, M750C)
• open to support other boxes as well, perhaps DreamBox
• other tree views independant of path structures (eg. all series recordings across all folders)
• maybe some sort of video cutting and DVD creation, at least better support for external tools.
• Streaming of recordings to PC, supporting different players (VLC, mplayer etc.)
• Privide a very flexible user interface.
